Winter Art

We discussed what it would be like to live in a snowglobe and created a winter scene using the wax resist techniques. 

Science Week

We had a Science Show in our school recently. We participated in sound and air experiments. 

Fun in the gym.

We are very lucky in Merlin Woods to have a school gym. Often we get to go to the gym as a group or class reward. 

 

Yoga

We loved participating in our recent yoga sessions with Michelle. We learned how to combine simple yoga poses and practised our breathing techniques. 

Yoga was lots of fun and very relaxing!!

2-D Shape Pictures

We had lots of fun recently learning about 2-d shapes. 

We made these colourful, 2-d shape pictures. 

Gaelic Football

FWe have been developing our Gaelic Football skills in 2nd class.

We have been focusing on various types of throwing and catching skills including the overhead throw and the underhand throw. We can throw and catch with two hands and sometimes even one!

We are also learning how to use bounces in our throws which means we have to run to catch the ball. 

We are really enjoying learning how to play Gaelic football!
