We have been learning length in maths class. We had lots of fun estimating and measuring lots of different objects and places in our school. We made metre strings to measure the length of our school hall and the front door of the school. We used our rulers to measure smaller objects , for example- the length of our maths copies were 20 centimetres. We can use maths all around us!

Flag Raising Ceremony
We made a card in our class for our recent Flag Ceremony. Thanks to Lieutenant Shay and Private Brennan from Renmore Barracks who visited our school and spoke to us about the Irish Flag and the historical importance of 1916. 
It's Christmas!!
We had lots of fun preparing for Christmas in 2nd class. We decorated our Christmas tree, made Christmas decorations, sang Christmas songs and participated in our school Christmas concert.

We discussed what it would be like to live in a snowglobe and created a winter scene using the wax resist techniques.
