Self-Portraits
We have been discussing the theme 'Myself' as part of our oral language lessons. We painted these portraits of ourselves as a response to our discussions.
Hurling
The children are once again taking part in hurling this term. They are really enjoying developing their skills and working together as a team.
Anti-Bullying Week 2015
We recently celebrated Anti-Bullying Week in our school. We did artwork posters, wrote poems and slogans, read stories and devised role-plays, all on the theme of Anti-Bullying. We also attended assembly each day where we learned that you should say NO to a bully, get away and Tell. Thank you to Múinteoir Claire for organising a fantastic week.
All-Ireland Hurling Final
The children recently dressed up in maroon and white to support their county team Galway in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final. We sang 'Galway are Ready to Hurl' as part of our whole school assembly.
Maths Week
We had a very enjoyable Maths Week in 2nd class. Thank you to all the parents who helped out on our Maths for Fun morning. We really enjoyed working together.
Don't forget to keep playing Maths games at home.
